Food Delivery : Ooma

Tuesday morning today, and I’ll back to the office in a few hours. My condition : sleepless! I don’t know if it’s because I ate a super spicy dinner last night + coffee. I also took a little 30-minute nap at 4:30 pm yesterday, before I commute to an almost 2-hour ride from Cainta to Manila. I’ve also been exercising hard and breaking a sweat lately. Maybe the combination of all those made me super bursting with energy now. I lack sleep, but I don’t feel sleepy. But goodluck later, hope I won’t crash as I need the same focus later.

Today, I’d be writing about my food experience with OOMA.

These coming days, my food story would mostly be about food deliveries. Although, dine-in are available now in most restaurants, I much prefer deliveries for safety and convenience.

Ideally, it would be good to have fresh ingredients delivered, and I’ll be cooking it based on a top-rated recipe.

But eventhough, I’m such a fan of masterchef, my patience and enthusiasm in cooking is point zero something percent.

Let’s talk about food now, shall we?

Crowd Favorites : Salmon Skin Aburi Maki, Spicy Tuna, Truffled Steak Aburi, and Ebi Tempura – P660.00

The last time we dine in at Ooma was maybe 2 years ago, and I still remember how I enjoy the taste of one maki. It’s tasty, savory and melt in your mouth goodness. But I could not remember the name. So I ordered Crowd Favorites to identify that nostalgic fave.

After tasting everything, I knew now the maki I wanted back then: it was the Salmon Skin Aburi maki.

I like the spicy tuna the second. While the truffled steak aburi taste exotic for me, and Ebi Tempura taste quite common.

Hanger Steak – P565.00

This order got the overwhelming flavor of truffle oil and shitaake mushroom, that it doesn’t just explode in your mouth but the strong smell of truffle envelope our room that last a while. I miss the bed of pureed sweet potato which for me is the star more than the tender beef in this Hanger Steak. But maybe due to the long distance delivery, the truffle oil and beautiful bed of sweet potato mix together. I must say this should better be eaten dine in than takeout. Fried potatoes crisp atleast!

My food cravings after all these years level up (my weight too!) So I have to save to enjoy these food splurges on weekends, (or monthly) atleast.

These past few months, I’ve been on hiatus with this blog. Because majority of my post is a food blog, but it became conflicting to my primary life goals of :

1. Healthy Eating

2. Saving (financially)

So maybe, I’ll consider food splurges like this as part of my cheat days only.

Thanks for reading!
