Doctor Diet Manila – Food Diet Delivery Review (Part 1 – 09 February 2021)
This week, Joseph and I availed of a diet delivery meal plan by Doctor Diet Manila.
Ordering is simple nowadays! You just message them on their Facebook page, and they easily respond.
With Doctor Diet Manila, the difference I noticed is they do some health assessment first, provided by their nutritionist.
After the health assessment, I was advised to order a 1200 calorie meal plan only. While for Joseph, the meal plan should be 1800 calories only.
We unfortunately skipped ordering their Monday meal, ‘cos it was already past their cut off when we thought of availing their diet delivery meal.
Actually, I really thought about it for long because it’s an adjustment situation for me who’s used to Grab Food orders and heavy lunch and dinners. Then I look on my weight, and I look in the mirror, and I just told myself, get back to your weight loss goal, girl!
I’m happy because Joseph joined me in this diet delivery food experience. #Couplegoals don’t you think? HAHA turns out, I’m adoring the heaviness of his 1800 calorie meal plan. Read on!
Tuesday – 09 February 2021
BREAKFAST 4:30 AM
Bibingka Pancake
Christmas isn’t over yet! That’s my first thought of Bibingka. Since we were already awake at 4:30 AM, and I’m feeling the night sky still there, I felt that Simbang Gabi feels, while eating this!
Joseph got 4 pieces of Doctor Diet Manila’s bibingka pancake, while I got only 2 pieces. The pancake is all equal in size. As you can see, there are cheese, and chunky salted egg inside, with butter on the side. The flavor is how I expect it to be with a Bibingka Pancake, so merry and festive!
Since I’m a big eater myself, I cannot stand glancing over Joseph’s meal. I usually eat 1800 calories or more, so I can feel the smaller meal adjustment at the start already. After maybe 1 or 2 hours, I’m already hungry!
Eating for breakfast is not a usual routine for me!
Usually, for breakfast, I only drink coffee and nothing else!😊
Coffee seemed to suppress my appetite, and because of that, I can go by eating 2 meals a day (lunch and dinner) for years now!
But I guess that routine’s not helping my increasing weight gain.
Speaking of coffee, Doctor Diet Manila provided Nescafe Black Coffee daily.
Thanks for the breakfast, Doctor Diet Manila! I might turn into a breakfast lover now!
LUNCH 11:00 AM
Thai Chicken
I’m not very good in distinguishing ingredients just by tasting, but with the white sauce mixed with the chicken breast pieces, I could tell it has coconut milk!
Love that there is a good amount of veggie green beans with this lunch, and a good amount of rice as well.
I always asked Joseph if he loved the taste, because it’s the first time for him on a diet meal plan, and he seemed to be satisfied with the taste provided by Doctor Diet Manila. I also agree! It’s comforting and homey minus the umay factor in some takeout meals!
SNACK 3:00 PM
Chocolate Cupcake
I hoped Doctor Diet Manila provided a name and detailed ingredients for their food and snack as well, because when I ate this cupcake, I finished it one whole bite! If I could turn back time, I should have savor it slowly, so I could remember the exact flavor of that brown topping.
It’s a yummy and light, low calorie baked snack by Doctor Diet Manila.
Apple or Banana
I got apple, while Joseph got banana for our Tuesday meal plan. It varies though. One time we both have banana.
Egg
But because Joseph was advised of 1800calorie meal plan, he also got one extra boiled egg for snack, while I got none.
Hey, I love eggs too!! But thinking about it, maybe I’m too protein-loaded already. Looking at my bulk arms and calves….note-to-self: girl, go focus on ya’ meal plan!
While writing this, I realized that we should distribute our snacks to AM snack and PM snack. Maybe the apple or banana should be eaten by 9AM in between breakfast and lunch or post workout. While the PM snack should be eaten by 3PM together with some coffee.
On second thought though, if there’s an apple, then it’s a good palate cleanser right after eating their baked snack.
Dinner 6:00 PM
Beefy Mexican Rice Box
Thanks heavens, it’s dinner time!
Starting this meal plan, I am always looking forward to my next meal, like I’m about to open a gift. Well, why not? I’m gonna treat it as a healthy guilt-free, valentines gift for Joseph and I this love month!
Mexican food reminds me of a beefy flavor in a Taco. With this meal, it has grounded beef, corn, black beans, and red rice.
I would always ask Joseph if it taste good for him, and he always said yes. I also exclaimed: Malasa siya talaga! Surprisingly, it’s super tasty for a diet meal!
I was afraid the red rice would be too dry for my liking, and it would dull my taste, but no, I felt even the red rice got the flavor I wanted.
Joseph kept me guessing what our next food looked like. If it was me who got the delivery from the gate, I would have check everything up as soon as I got the brown bag, and take a flatlay photo of everything. But Joseph will automatically put the brown bag of meals in the fridge, so we’d be surprised the next day.
After we finished our breakfast, I’ll soon be curious what’s our lunch or dinner, but Joseph’s good not to spoil our excitement.
By the way, the delivery is day before.
Our Tuesday meal is delivered the day before, Monday 4PM. Doctor Diet Manila is located in Antipolo, which is a fast route to Joseph’s place in Cainta.
I also asked if they deliver in Tondo, where my place is and they also deliver there too!
I also asked for some diet assessment for my 66-year-old mom! And love that they cater also to diabetics! But I still have to talk to my mom about it, because she’s not used to this kind of diet meal plan yet.
There are many first with this meal plan!
- started eating breakfast as early as 4:30 AM
- took dinner as early as 6:00 PM
- the two listed above made my sleep schedule as early as 7:00 PM
- my metabolism speed up I guess, as I easily became hungry every hour
- Iooking forward to snack time
- I eat smaller than my usual heavy meals
Joseph and I very much appreciate their food. It is also nicely prepared and packed. The rider is courteous to leave a text message saying that he is on the way and he is on the gate already. Doctor Diet Manila is also responsive in their FB chat.
Doctor Diet Manila’s meal plan price is 390 pesos per day for 1200-calorie meal. And 480 pesos per day for 1800-calorie meal. Daily meal includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2-3 snacks, and coffee.
I got a lot of food trip and food photos, but it’s not all the time that I post it on my blog. Doctor Diet Manila gave me that inspiration boost this week via their food!
That’s it for this blogpost!
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday meals with Doctor Diet Manila would be up next!
